Laughing Anyway...Trotzdem lachen...

Humor has often been a coping mechanism.Humor war für mich oft ein Weg, mit meiner Situation umzugehen.

For a harsh world. For bouts of depression. For an existence that doesn't really make sense. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is mine for sure.

In dieser verrückten Welt, dieser regelrecht absurden Existenz, die selten viel Sinn ergibt. Mir ist klar, dass Humor nicht für jeden Menschen das Mittel der Wahl ist, aber für mich habe ich noch nichts Besseres gefunden.

I couldn't work well in places where humor has to stay outside the room. Sometimes a joke communicates faster than an argument. Sometimes a well-placed innuendo gets attention for a problem before a serious explanation ever would. I don't just think of humor as entertainment. I think of it as a mode of connecting.

Deshalb kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, in einem Umfeld zu arbeiten, in dem Humor außen vor bleibt. Manchmal drückt eine witzige Bemerkung einfach mehr aus als ein nüchterner Fakt. Und manchmal bedeutet ein gut platzierter Joke mehr Aufmerksamkeit für ein Problem, als jeder dramatische Ernst es je könnte. Für mich ist Humor nicht nur bloße Unterhaltung. Für mich ist er ein Mittel, um mit Menschen zu connecten.
